Fungal Diversity  is an open-access journal supported by article processing charges (APCs). This fee covers editorial management and coordination of peer review, copyediting, typesetting, online hosting and long-term archiving, and journal operations. APCs ensure that all published content is freely available to readers worldwide without subscription barriers.

APC Rate

The APC for all accepted articles is $3,200 USD / €2,800 EUR (plus VAT or applicable local taxes).

● Charges apply only to accepted papers.
● Authors are responsible for the APC payment once their article is formally accepted for publication.

This journal offers discounts for select article types:

Brief Communication, Data, Perspective: $1,200 USD / €1,000 EUR

This journal waives APCs for the following article types: Editorial

Waivers and Discounts

● Full APC waivers for corresponding authors based in Least Developed Countries (see the UN list).
● Full or partial waivers for authors facing financial hardship, considered on a case-by-case basis.

Waiver or discount requests must be submitted at the time of article submission. The editorial evaluation and acceptance of your manuscript are entirely independent of your ability to pay the APC.

Accepted means of payment: Wire transfer in US Dollars (USD) or Euro (EUR). Online payment by credit card is not accepted until further notice.
