APC rates, waiver policy, and author payment responsibilities.Overview
PhytoMycology is an open-access journal supported by article processing charges (APCs). APCs ensure that all published content is freely available to readers worldwide without subscription barriers.
APC Rate
The APC for all accepted articles is $1,500 USD, plus VAT or applicable local taxes.
- Charges apply only to accepted papers.
- Authors are responsible for APC payment once their article is formally accepted for publication.
Waivers and Discounts
- PhytoMycology will offer full APC waivers for all articles accepted before June 2026.
- Starting July 2026, full APC waivers will be available for corresponding authors based in Least Developed Countries listed by the United Nations.
- Full or partial waivers for authors facing financial hardship are considered case by case.
Waiver or discount requests must be submitted at the time of article submission. Editorial evaluation and acceptance are entirely independent of the author's ability to pay the APC.
